Website Portfolio Decription

Students will create a personal website that they will use as their class portfolio. During the begining of the semesters students will research and locate a website building software program that they will use to create their Portfolio. Website content will be uploaded to the site throughout the semester. The website will be created as a studio architecture firm owned by the student. Example websites are located above. Students will need to be creative when designing the site and communicate their work with clarity.

Student will collaborate with one another when creating a video interview for their website. The interview must have a professional look and follow a specific format.

Supervised Drafting Leadership Project

Purpose: This project is designed to encourage student to explore areas of interest in the design and construction field. This project has also been designed to empower student to become leaders within the Heritage High School community.

Description:

Students will be required to complete a minimum 15 hours of out of classroom work related to design or construction fields. The out of classroom work must benefit our school's campus. All work must be documented in written form and picture form. Work comleted off campus or without my supervision will require students to get a signature from a supervising parent or adult. Pictures of the work must also be submitted as evidence of work when I am not supervising your work. Sample log form can be found below. You can use the example form or create your own. At the end of the 15 hours of work student will summerize their work by creating a 3 panel project board. See project board requirements below for more infomation on it's content.

Samples of Acceptable Work: Landscape Design, Construction, Engineering, Painting, Repairing, Cleaning, ect.

Prior to doing any work without my supervision you will need approval from me. Failure to do so will result in no credit for those hours worked.

Project Board Requirements:

Project Title

Written description of work completed within the minimum of 15 hours.

Description must be a minimum of 400 words, double spaced, 12 pt. Arial font.

Minimum 10 pictures with brief caption. *Caption cannot be written by hand.
