Sunglasses Design
Using the inventor software program students will be given the task to design a pair of sunglasses. Students will need to research how sunglasses are made and how they are designed prior to creating the sunglasses in the Inventor software program.

Students will need to research and report on the following before design:

-
Material used for frames
-
Material used for Lenses
-
Material for hinges
-
Part names
-
How are sunglasses sized
-
How are sunglasses made

Create a google document with the research information above included. When the document is completed you will share the document with me.

The next task will be to select a pair of sunglasses that each student will replicate in the inventor software program or design a pair on your own. All Sunglasses designs must have a minimum of 8 DIFFERENT parts. Once all parts and assembly are created students will then create a Inventor drawing file on a D Size sheet of paper that includes all parts, top view with dimension, side view with dimension, top view with dimension and assembly isometric view. The drawing will also include a parts list that outlines drawing detail. The title block must be complete and filled out with the proper information.

***Reference the drawing below to correctly construct your drawing.
Students will submit the following (share via google drive):
- All Parts files (.ipt)
- Assembly file (.iam)
- Drawing file (.dwg)
- Drawing PDF
